Used to have my nipples, belly button & eyebrow pierced, ink free zone.

If you could have any super power what would it be & why?

Teleportation because I hate traffic & planes.

What did you want to be when you grew up?

Astronaut or a Ninja Turtle

Were did you grow up and what was it like?

Fort Worth & it was amazing. Little Ale had the best childhood & was groomed to be a successful leader & entrepreneur by his parents Thanks guys!

 

What are some of the crazy fads you and your friends went through?

Jnco's when we all Broke Dance, channel 45 local cable dance show, & Low riders of course.

What things do you find yourself doing that you said you'd never do?

Flying on planes & taking days off work.

Tell me a time in your life that was a time you'll never forget?

Mowing yards as a kid. I would spend hours alone thinking of ways to make more money & it was so therapeutic. 

The Dallas night scene in my early 20's as a club promoter & the ideas is spawned for business. 

What is something your really proud of and why?

When my parents say they are proud of me. "When I grow up I'm going to be just like Alejandro"- Chris Bonilla (father)

What are some goals your still trying to accomplish?

Inspire the world through my craft, education, cinema, & photography (capturing souls one at a time)

What are you scared of?

Drowning & having my phone die.

Ever been in love?

One too many times but it feels great to feel. Maybe little ninja soon!

How long have you been in the Hair industry & how did you get started?

23 years & I had a neighbor kid ask me to fade him up. I did a good job & craved more. I haven't gone more than one week without doing hair since I was 13 years old

 

What Sebastian product can you NOT live without?

Whipped crème is to die for! I use it on everyone & myself when I want to show off my mane.

 

Favorite client quote?

“You go tell Ale that he used to cut my hair in his garage!”- Patrick Ramos

 

What is your favorite service to do on a client?

Full make over. I like it when someone trust me so much to make them look good & feel good.

 

Why do you love your career?

Making clients cry. The feeling you changed someones life with self esteem & beauty that they cry with tears of joy! So rewarding.

 

Any Fashion pet peeves?

Ladies, hide your damn bobby pins & at least use the right color for your hair.

 

What smell reminds you of hair school?

Rotten eggs & smoke. (Perms & lil Old ladies who only shampooed their hair weekly)

 

Tell us about your first haircut?

My first clipper cut was at the tender age of 13, it went well. My fist woman's haircut was at the age of 15 the consultation went like this: “How many layers do you want? 2 or 3?) LOL

Arlington, Texas. Really hot and boring, unless you went to Six Flags.

could do over?

 No, I strive to live life for the future, and only use the past as a reference.


 

What things do you find yourself doing that you said you'd never do?

When I was little I used to say I wouldn’t learn how to drive, because it seemed scary.

 

Tell me a time in your life that was a time you'll never forget.

 Going on road trips with my mom and siblings to Arkansas to visit our aunts and cousins. We didn’t live next door, but we still grew up together.

 

What is something your're really proud of and why?

 My career. The beauty industry is such a positive and helpful community, and I’m very happy to be apart of it.

 

What are some goals your still trying to accomplish?

 I have an endless list of goals I will accomplish. Next in line are rock Esoterica and get my barbering license soon!

 I'm OBSESSED with Sublimate! it gives me such great texture without looking like I have a lot of product in my hair. Trilliance heat protectant has been my go to since I was 17 give such great protection and shine. And Zero Gravity hairspray, light weight and add shines.

Full makeovers! I love seeing people who aren't scared to try a completely new look

Fort Worth, TX I love funkytown So much to do! and El Paso, TX my second home I love the mountains and the food!

friends went through?

 middle school my friends and I thought it was cool to look like cholas so I had the super thin brows and Chained necklaces with crown pendants

 

Is there anything in particular that you wish you

could do over?

 Never crosses my mind, everything you go through is an experience and lesson; it made me who I am today.


What things do you find yourself doing that you said you'd never do?

Putting make up on everyday; as a soccer girl growing up I didn't care to much now makeup is also part of my career.

 

Tell me a time in your life that was a time you'll never forget.

 For my 15th birthday my family couldn't afford to give me a Quinceanera so I came home one day to ALL of my family including my aunt from virgina and my older sister with her family from california at my house with the little traditonal quinceanera stuff like the tiara, and my favorite food, a cake my dad hand made for me. Totally caught me off guard but definitely felt the love.

 

What is something your really proud of and why?

Finishing Cosmetology school and Beginning my career. I'm so happy with being able to what I love and be apart of an industry that not only is constantly growing but also an industry that help me grow individually as a person.

 

What are some goals your still trying to accomplish?

 I've always got goals I want to accomplish but right now in the industry I working towards one day being a Colorist educator/ambassador.

I have two completely different genres of music on my playlist. It can go from upbeat dance music such as Dupstep/techno music then play some cry baby sad music like Christina perri there is no in between!

What did you want to be when you grew up?

I always wanted to be a hairstylist!

What super power do you wish you had ?

The ability to read minds!

Where did you grow up and what was it like?

Born and raised right here in Fort worth! Grew up with eight brothers and sisters and had the best childhood growing up ! I also want a big family of my own!

What are some of the crazy fads you and your friends went through ?

We had every color on the palette on our eyelids! Also layering our shirts, I think I wore about 3 different colored tank tops underneath my main shirt and you could see every single one of them! We even wore potato shoes with every outfit , and pantyhose as a neck choker!

Is there anything in particular that you wish you could do over ?

“No Ragrets” -Were the millers

Whats things you find your self doing that you said you would never do?

I always tell myself im not gonna cut my hair, im gonna let it grow...... My hair stays above my shoulders.

Whats something you are really proud of and why?

My ability to keep on going . Ive never been the one to give up or not try my best. I give my all 100% of the time and I owe it all to my daughter. She has made me a stronger person and my reason to never settle for less.

What are some goals you are still trying to accomplish?

I want to be Independent!!!!!

I would like to move things with my mind because sometimes I just don't want to get up.


What did you want to be when you grew up?
A Vet


Were did you grow up and what was it like? 
I grew up right outside of Chicago and it was fantastic! Snowmen for days and warm summers by the lake.  

What are some of the crazy fads you and your friends went through? 
In my younger days we would see how high we could spray our bangs up and later we would wear pagers that were not even working.  


What things do you find yourself doing that you said you'd never do? 
I used to say I'd never get married and have children.  The thought of it always scared me.  Got married 11/9/13 and had my beautiful son Landon on 8/8/14 and have been so very happy and can't ever imagine a world without my guys! 


Tell me a time in your life that was a time you'll never forget? 
Falling through the ice into the river while ice fishing.  


What is something your really proud of and why? 
I'm proud of myself for taking a leap of faith and moving to Texas. Best idea ever!


What are some goals your still trying to accomplish? 
The one major goal right now is finding and buying my forever home.


What are you scared of? 
The idea of Zombies, spiders and tornado's.
